Greetings, greetings. Oh, do come in for tea and cookies!!!! Welcome to the Orphanage of Fun and I am Granny Grunt. I am the headmistress of the orphanage and am the scout leader for the little Orphan Scouts of Fun. They are all rascals, but I do love them. It is a matter of managing the mayhem. They are an adventurous lot.
Watch your step. There appears to be something that is being disassembled here in the doorway. I believe it might be the neighbor's motorcycle. Well, he must have parked it too close to the orphanage. I will send over a plate of cookies as an apology.
What brings you here? Please sit....children.....bring some tea and cookies for our guests...no...not those cookies....*whispers....no mind control cookies yet, these guests seem to have fun still in them. Save those cookies for the grumpy-bumps who will come for the motorcycle*...Ah, yes...snickerdoodles....my favorite. How can anyone be sad if they are saying snickerdoodle...snickerdoodle....snickerdoodle...oh..yes, back to the purpose of the visit. Let me pour you a cup. Milk or lemon? None? Fine....bottoms up! *glugglug* Ah, refreshing....*blinks*...you haven't had any? The children didn't put any slugs in the tea, did they? *look of horror into the pot...then relief*
Well, you are here to just visit? Would you like to stay awhile? We might be able to put you up. Always a bunk open. We are here to teach fun and help people relearn that fun is always around them. The world seems to be so gloomy and it doesn't have to be.
Yes, I do smell smoke.....don't worry. I think it is just the little scouts baking cookies....or burning down the kitchen again. Do stay for a spell....and drink up while the tea is hot.
