Wonders upon wonders, some of the orphans and I packed up the dirigible and sailed off to Hannibal, Missouri for the first annual Big River Steampunk Festival. We had glorious fun! We had to worry a bit about the younger ones wanting to bungee jump out of the dirigible, but we explained that smacking into trees was NOT the most fun.

Above is a link to the festivities. Hmm...not one picture of dear old Granny Grunt. Maybe someone was upset about one of the orphans pulling his whiskers? Sweet man, he should be thankful that we didn't bring the child that was into pyrotechnical devices. She thankfully is still working with Grandpa Grouch on the Zeppelin.
Do plan on coming next year. Grandpa Grouch will come with us when we bring all the of the orphans. One of the dears saw the fire eater and thinks that if she practices, she can entertain the crowds next year in the same manner. Grand fun for all.
